Every organization, every credit union, has blind spots. Left unaddressed over time, these blind spots can grow like cancer and kill your credit union's growth. The key to getting ahead in today's competitive market is not flashy AI technology or data analytics software. It's assessment. Assessment reveals your unique blind spots and shows you how to fix them. This session will examine the three areas top performing credit unions today are assessing: your board, your marketing and your leadership.
Participants will learn:
How to increase efficiencies through assessment
The leadership tool that is transforming credit union teams across the country

The millennial generation has been the subject of intrigue and debate for the last two decades. Now, just as you think you’ve figured out how to reach them, their successors are following closely behind: Generation Z. Lumping these distinctly different generations into one category of “young people” is a fatal mistake for your credit union. However, with the proper marketing and strategic direction, you could make both these generations loyal to you for life.

We must first ensure that we stay relevant with those that we serve by also aligning with trends that are shaping consumer and business behavior. It is no secret that a financial institution is no longer the primary source or even the ideal provider of financial solutions; embedded finance gives people many more options. Initiatives need to be clearly aligned and diligently prioritized so we are driving a true path forward.

One of the biggest advantages of a community financial institution is the ability to deliver on true "conversations" with those that we serve - how best can we deliver on these conversations while ensuring that our ability to serve is not constrained. Our team needs to be held accountable for the initiatives with clear milestones and a way to measure progress while also adapting quickly. And what will it take to drive DRAMATIC success?

On the Mark Strategies
As a leader, it's easy to get trapped in the day-to-day. Even as a director, you often find yourself spending your time addressing the urgent rather than focusing on the important. However, true leaders are strategic thinkers. They work on the credit union, not just in it. This kind of strategic thinking doesn't happen overnight, though. It takes discipline and hard work, a true mindset shift.
This session will help directors:
•Learn what strategy is and what it is not
•Discern between trends and fads
•Teach your team to think strategically
