Speaker Information

Bill Farley

President/CEO, aCUmen America, L.L.C.


Prior to leading aCUmen America, Bill held several leadership roles at the CUNA Mutual Group for almost 20 years as well as leading a thriving Central Virginia Federal Credit Union for 13 years.

Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. He has completed the Credit Union Executives Society CEO Institute at Wharton School of business and the CUES Advanced Leadership Institute at Harvard Business School.

Bill also graduated on the “Dean’s List with Highest Honors” from the National Credit Union Institute and was awarded the Certified Credit Union Executive designation from CUNA’s Center for Professional Development.

Bill is a frequent speaker at league meetings and credit union conferences, speaking on topics such as Board/CEO relationships, channel and lending optimization, strategic planning, and leadership.

Bruce Hoogstraten

President, Geo-San, Inc.

Bruce Hoogstraten is President of Geo-San, Inc. which has been in existence since 1998. He has over 30 years of experience in operational management, sales, and engineering. Geo-San is a management consulting practice focusing on operational management issues for small businesses, government contractors, as well as being instrumental in supporting various non-profits organizations. He has also been the executive director for the non-profit advocacy group – the NASA Aerospace Support Team (NAST) for over 15 years.

After receiving his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Hoogstraten worked for Ferguson Enterprises, Incorporated as a manager specializing in sales, operations and business processes. The first startup venture Mr. Hoogstraten created was an effort centered on technology transferred from NASA involving a patented ultra stable-laser which was marketed in the space-based communication industry – and now is involved in a new partnership commercializing NASA LIDAR technology for GPS denied navigational control systems.
