Bruce Hoogstraten is President of Geo-San, Inc. which has been in existence since 1998.  He has over 30 years of experience in operational management, sales, and engineering.  Geo-San is a management consulting practice focusing on operational management issues for small businesses, government contractors, as well as being instrumental in supporting various non-profits organizations. He has also been the executive director for the non-profit advocacy group – the NASA Aerospace Support Team (NAST) for 15 years.

Mr. Hoogstraten lives in Hampton, VA and attended Hampton High School.  He received his BSME from Norwich University. He was a project engineer for the Westinghouse Corporation working on Naval Nuclear hardware, and a design engineer for a small NASA contractor.  After receiving his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Hoogstraten worked for Ferguson Enterprises Incorporated as a manager specializing in sales, operations and business processes. The first startup venture Mr. Hoogstraten created was an effort centered on technology transferred from NASA involving a patented ultra-stable-laser which was marketed in the space-based communication industry – and now is involved in a new partnership commercializing NASA LIDAR technology for GPS denied navigational control systems.

Bruce is married, has two sons and is very active in volunteer work.  He is the past Chairmen of the Governor’s Aerospace Advisory Council; Past Chairman of the Hampton YMCA and is still currently on the Board of Directors for the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA; Former Chairman of The Board of Fellows for Norwich University (and is The Class Agent for Norwich 1982 for 30 years); Current Vice-Chairman for the Board of Directors for Langley Federal Credit Union – and will be Chair in April 2018; He formerly served on the Colonial Virginia Council of the Boys Scouts of American, The Peninsula Baseball Stadium Authority, and Chairman of the Pilots Youth Baseball Organization. Mr. Hoogstraten has also been an adjunct MBA professor at Hampton University. Mr. Hoogstraten has presented at many nationally recognized conferences speaking about Non-Profit Board Development for Credit Unions.


Jerry Tenbrink is the owner and manager of the firm’s practice. He has been practicing public accounting for three decades and, since 1986, has practiced solely in the credit union industry. His responsibilities include planning, coordination, supervision and quality control review of all audit engagements to ensure that professional standards, regulatory requirements and client expectations are met.

He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of both the Kansas and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He has worked on a number of credit union-related fraud engagements, enabling him to provide a unique insight into meaningful internal controls to safeguard credit union assets.

Jerry is a popular speaker both locally and nationally on credit union issues and is an effective presenter, communicating in a manner that is understandable, objective and helpful.
