Student Loan Pause. Repayment Extension and Forgiveness!

Bill Ayers, Head of Campus Development, College Ave Student Loans

As the U.S. Supreme Court plans on reviewing the constitutionality of the Administration’s student loan forgiveness plan, it is anyone's guess as to what the program will look like in 2024. One thing is certain, there will still be students and families that need help paying for college.

Based on current trends and forecasts, the demand for student loans is expected to continue to rise in the coming years. The increasing cost of higher education and the limited availability of grants and scholarships make loans a necessary tool for many students to finance their education.

This session will cover a brief update on recent news, announcements, and considerations for your credit union; how you can help members obtain the financing they need; and discuss the best time for members to refinance existing loans.
