  Speakers

Mark Elliott is the creator of the PowerStart Onboarding process and Onboarding University for newly placed leaders. He is also a partner in Member Value Network, a consulting services CUSO. Elliott has 25 years of experience in management consulting domestically and internationally, having worked with hundreds of companies in a broad range of industries on issues involving leadership assessment and development, executive recruitment and assimilation, and organization development.   

His experience includes 20 years of consulting with credit union boards and senior leadership teams on CEO recruitment and succession, and most recently for the Onboarding of newly placed leaders.  

Elliott has written articles for credit union publications and has spoken at numerous national credit union conferences. He serves on a number of civic and corporate boards. In the credit union industry Elliott is on the boards of Callahan & Associates and the general partner of the Trust for Credit Unions. He also serves on the faculty of the Southwest CUNA Management School. 

Previously, Elliott held a senior executive position with Monster.com’s Executive Search Division. Prior to that, he was a partner with the executive search firms, LAI Worldwide, and Heidrick & Struggles.
And earlier, he was president of an organizational development subsidiary of DDI. Elliott began his career in human resources management with General Electric. 

Elliott is a certified executive coach. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University and pursued graduate studies in Organizational Development at the University of Massachusetts.


Sean McDonald, MBA, is the Director of Business Development & Marketing for Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union in Jersey City, NJ.  He is an energetic and passionate speaker, trainer, and consultant specializing in personal and professional development topics including the importance of goal setting, effective networking skills, relationship building, sales skills, delivering outstanding customer service, and maximizing profitability.  Sean also presents on many financial literacy subjects including basic budgeting, home buying and establishing and maintaining excellent credit.  Sean’s mission is to help people achieve personal, professional and financial success.  His blend of expertise, wit, humor, and energetic presenting style allows for a higher level of learning among his clients.   

Sean has written extensively on many professional and personal growth topics and his work has been published in a variety of newspapers, trade magazines, and industry publications.  He hopes to publish his first book on business development and leadership in late 2008. 

In March 2008, he was the recipient of the prestigious Business Development Professional of the Year award from the Credit Union National Association. 

Sean resides in New Jersey with his wife, Susan.
